This beautiful watercolor rendering of the Speaker’s House was produced by local artist Julie Longacre in 2010.  Based on painstaking architectural research, the rendering depicts the house as it looked when purchased by Frederick Muhlenberg in 1781 and how the original section will look once again following restoration.  We were delighted to work with Julie on this project, and are pleased to have a variety of products featuring this design available for purchase.

Before we started to restore the Speaker's House, the building was in great need of attention.  This illustration is an artist's concept of the house after restoration is complete. The difference between before and after depends on your support.  Thank you for your help!
