Speaker's Choice Awards Presented at Annual Meeting

December 2, 2008 - 2008 marks the first year that the Speaker's Choice has been awarded. This award, which will be presented on an annual basis, is given to an individual who has exhibited outstanding leadership and an on-going commitment to The Speaker's House. Because there have been two such individuals who have shown great leadership in the on-going efforts to save The Speaker's House, this year's awards went to Congressman Jim Gerlach (PA-6th District) and Montgomery County Commissioner Joe Hoeffel. Congressman Gerlach and Commissioner Hoeffel accepted the award at The Speaker's House annual meeting on December 2, 2008.
