Here are just some of the ways in which the community
participates in The Speaker’s House. If you would
like to volunteer in any capacity, please contact info@speakershouse.org or call (610) 489-2105.
1.
Volunteer: Volunteers built this organization and continue to play
a key role in its development by serving on committees,
contributing time and expertise, helping out at special
events and so on.
2.
In-kind services: Organizations like Electrical Workers Local Union 380
are working to update the wiring in the house
Prior
to the restoration of The Speaker’s House, we
are seeking in-kind donations to help stabilize the
structure. Please contact us if you are able to provide
any of the following services: Roofing and gutter installation, architectural planning,
site grading, lightning protection, security systems,
fire detection, or carpentry.
3.
Scout Projects: Boy Scout Troop 113 has contributed dozens of hours
of volunteer time to help clean up the grounds after
a wind storm knocked down six large trees. Other troop
members will be working to attain their Eagle Scout
Rank by completing other projects on the property.
4.
Monetary contributions: Since its inception dozens of gifts have come to The
Speaker’s House from individuals, foundations,
and corporations. To the left and right are lists of major donors.
