Here are just some of the ways in which the community participates in The Speaker’s House. If you would like to volunteer in any capacity, please visit our contact page or call (610) 489-2105.

  1. Volunteer:
    Volunteers built this organization and continue to play a key role in its development by serving on committees, contributing time and expertise, helping out at special events and so on.

  2. In-kind services:
    Organizations like Electrical Workers Local Union 380 are working to update the wiring in the house.  Prior to the restoration of The Speaker’s House, we are seeking in-kind donations to help stabilize the structure. Please contact us if you are able to provide any of the following services:
    • Roofing and gutter installation
    • Architectural planning
    • Site grading
    • Lightning protection
    • Security systems
    • Fire detection
    • Carpentry.

  3. Scout and Service Organization Projects:
    Organization like Boy Scout Troop 113 and the Ursinus College Chapter of the Sigma Pi fraternity have contributed dozens of hours of volunteer time to help clean up the grounds, carefully remove later additions to the house, and other projects.  Some scouts have completed projects on the property as part of attaining their Eagle Scout rank.

  4. Monetary contributions:
    Since its inception hundreds of gifts have come to The Speaker’s House from individuals, foundations, and corporations. You can make a contribution with the Donate button below, and you can join The Speaker’s House.
