When: June 27 to July 8, 2017
Where: The Speaker’s House
The field school is an intensive program that runs on a Tuesday–Saturday schedule from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily. Due to major restoration work scheduled on the property for this spring and summer, the 2017 field school program will focus on archaeology lab work rather than excavation. Participants will receive training in artifact identification, processing, cataloging, and vessel reconstruction. They will also curate and install an exhibition of reconstructed vessels. Optional field trips and guest lectures are also offered. No previous experience is necessary. The field school is open to anyone age 15 or over.
