This event benefited the restoration efforts
at the Speaker’s House. Home of first Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Frederick Muhlenberg, the house was
rescued from demolition in 2001 and is undergoing restoration to return it to
its appearance during Muhlenberg’s lifetime.
